Rangers from Snowy Monaro Regional Council will be offering free checks of pet registration and microchip details at the upcoming Cooma Canine Catch-up, in conjunction with the next instalment of our popular pound pet meet-and-greets.
A new initiative from Council, the Cooma Canine Catch-up aims to help residents ensure that their pet's information is accurate and up to date, keeping your furry friends safe in the event of emergency or escape.
From 10.30am to 12.30pm on Tuesday 7 May at the new K9 Socials dog café in Cooma, the Cooma Canine Catch-up also gives residents another opportunity to meet pups from our pound that are looking for their forever homes.
'This event will be a wonderful place for dog-lovers to come together, while also helping to find loving homes for our rescue animals,' said Sarah Davis, Senior Ranger and adoption program lead at Snowy Monaro Regional Council.
Building on Council's recent efforts to promote pound pet adoptions, the Cooma Canine Catch-up is an exciting opportunity for dog lovers in our region.
Whether you want to make sure your current pet is protected, or you're looking to make a new best friend, we look forward to seeing you and your four-legged family members in Cooma on Tuesday 7 May 2024.
