Frontline Tasking Unit officers from Frankston uncovered more than 20 litres of suspected 1,4-butanediol after a man raised their suspicions in Seaford last night.
The uniformed officers were on patrol, when they noticed a man in a silver Peugeot hatch acting suspiciously, in the vicinity of a milk bar on Hadley Street on Monday 16 November about 5pm.
The man appeared to recognise police in their unmarked car and tried to leave the area on foot and didn't return to the vehicle.
Police spoke to the man who was a disqualified driver and searched the vehicle discovering a significant quantity of a liquid substance, believed to be 1, 4-butanediol.
Other alleged drugs of dependence and a quantity of cash were also found in the car and seized.
The 35-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested and has been charged by detectives with eleven charges including; traffic a large commercial quantity of drugs, possess drug of dependence, possess proceeds of crime and disqualified driving.
He has been remanded to appear at Melbourne Magistrates' Court today, Tuesday 17 November 2020.
