Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has announced more walk-in vaccination opportunities in more vaccine hubs in an effort to get more Queenslanders vaccinated. The Premier said walk-in patrons aged 12 and up are welcome across Metro North Health's four COVID-19 vaccine clinics from today in a bid to expand vaccine options for Queenslanders.
"Caboolture Square, Doomben Racecourse, Kippa Ring and Brisbane Entertainment Centre at Boondall will all be available for COVID-19 vaccinations, with no booking required," The Premier said.
Minister for Health Yvette D'Ath said the move to a walk-in model for COVID-19 vaccination would provide further convenience for those on Brisbane's north side, with anyone available to take advantage of the expanded vaccination capability.
"We'll now have five walk-in vaccination clinic options for Brisbane locals from today as we accelerate our efforts to get more Queenslanders vaccinated," Minister D'Ath said.
"These clinics have capacity to vaccinate a huge number of patrons at any one time, with the Brisbane Entertainment Centre community vaccination clinic able to see 82 patrons at once.
"This walk-in model is set to make getting vaccinated against COVID-19 even more convenient for our community and we are so excited to be a part of that."
Those interested in a walk-in appointment are encouraged to pre-register their details online to save time at check-in upon arrival, although not essential, and can do so here: https://www.vaccinebookings.health.qld.gov.au/registerforvaccination/
