Ashurst welcomes tax partner Morgan Vail, who joins the Paris office's tax team, led by Emmanuelle Pontnau-Faure since 2017.
Morgan has been advising clients on corporate tax issues for over 15 years. He has particular experience in the new technologies, media and telecommunications (TMT) sector, including in the taxation of digital activities.
Morgan's practice focuses on Tax Disputes & Investigations. He is involved in tax audits, settlement negotiations and assistance with voluntary disclosures to the French authorities, remediation and litigation. He assists clients with their day-to-day tax issues, organisation, flow management and tax policy and strategy.
Morgan's experience in tax advice and litigation complements the Paris office's transactional tax practice.

Prior to joining Ashurst, Morgan was a partner at UGGC Avocats (2024) and previously a partner at EY, Société d'Avocats (2012 - 2024) and Taj, Société d'Avocats (2008 - 2012, now Deloitte, Société d'Avocats).
He holds a Doctorate in Law from the Université Panthéon - Assas (2011) and has been a lawyer since 2013.
