Mornington Peninsula Launches Community Grants Program

Council recently adopted a generous community investment funding budget of more than $3.3 million for grants, subsidies and sponsorships. Mornington Peninsula Shire has a strong track record in investing in community-led initiatives, projects, programs and events, and we are committed to continue that support.

The purpose of this funding is to support community groups, organisations, businesses and sole traders. Grants available include:

  • Biolink Support Grants
  • Climate Action Grants (Energy Support Grant and Community Action)
  • Heritage Grants
  • Business Development Grants
  • Creative Grants
  • Performing Arts Development Grants
  • Community Events Grants
  • Placemaking Grants
  • Community Support Grants
  • Flexi Grants
  • Local Area Community Capital Infrastructure Grants
  • Access and Social Inclusion Grants
  • Sponsorships.

How to apply for a grant or sponsorship

We are hosting several grants and sponsorships information sessions and grant writing workshops. These sessions are free and give applicants all the necessary information to help them through the application process.

Information sessions:

  • Hastings Community Hub on Thursday 6 June, 10 – 11am
  • Shire office, Rosebud on Wednesday 19 June, 10 – 11am
  • Online via Teams, Wednesday 3 July, 6.30 – 7.30pm
  • Council Chambers, Mornington, Tuesday 9 July, 10 – 11am.

Grant writing workshops:

  • Council Chambers, Mornington, Thursday 20 June, 10am – 12.30pm
  • Shire Office, Rosebud, Thursday 18 July, 10am – 12.30pm
  • Online via Teams, Wednesday 7 August, 6 – 8.30pm
  • Hastings Community Hub, Tuesday 20 August, 10am – 12.30pm
