Motorcycle crash at Humevale

A man has died in hospital following a motorcycle crash in Humevale last night, Victoria Police say.

Police have been told two men were travelling west along Humevale Road on a Harley Davidson motorcycle about 8pm.

It is believed the rider lost control on a bend and crashed into a fence.

The pillion passenger, a 48-year-old Mernda man was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

He died early this morning.

The rider, a 55-year-old Whittlesea man, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Detectives from the Major Collision Investigation Unit are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
