Motorcycle crash at Humevale - Update

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are continuing to appeal for information after a man died in hospital following a motorcycle crash in Humevale earlier this month, Victoria Police say.

Police have been told two men were travelling west along Humevale Road on a Harley Davidson motorcycle about 8pm.

It is believed the rider lost control on a bend and crashed into a fence.

The pillion passenger, a 48-year-old Mernda man was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, but passed away hours later.

The rider, a 55-year-old Whittlesea man, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Investigators believe the two men were at an adjacent golf club prior to the crash and are keen to speak to anyone who saw them at the time, or witnessed the incident.
