Motorcycle Hit and Run: Police Seek Information

A woman has sustained serious injuries after being struck by a motorcycle, whose rider failed to remain at the scene of the incident in Parkwood this morning.

Initial information suggests around 12.30am, the rider struck the woman at speed as she was walking across Parklands Drive at the intersection of Olsen Avenue.

The rider fled the scene at speed travelling north toward Musgrave and Napper Roads.

Nearby police and bystanders assisted the woman, a tourist aged in her twenties, who was transported to hospital with serious injuries including a suspected fractured leg.

The motorcycle is believed to be a green road bike and the rider was wearing a black helmet, light coloured jacket and a backpack.

Investigators appeal for the rider to come forward by attending a local police station.
