Motorcycle rider dies in single-vehicle crash near Camden

A man has died following a single-vehicle crash near Camden yesterday.

About 9.15pm on Monday (27 December 2021), emergency services were called to Gledswood Hills Drive, Gledswood Hills, following reports a motorcycle had crashed into a wooden pole and surrounding trees.

A passing motorist stopped to render assistance prior to the arrival of NSW Ambulance paramedics.

Despite their efforts, the rider – a 22-year-old man – died at the scene.

Officers from Camden Police Area Command established a crime scene and have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

As inquiries continue, police are urging anyone who witnessed the crash, or who has dashcam footage from the area, to come forward.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
