A motorcyclist has been fined and suspended from driving after he was allegedly detected travelling at more than 45km/h over the speed limit on the Mid North Coast yesterday.
About 3.20pm (Sunday 23 May 2021), officers from the Traffic and Highway Patrol Command were conducting speed enforcement duties on Macleay Valley Way, Kemspey, when they detected a Yamaha allegedly travelling at 127km/h in a marked 100km/h zone.
The rider allegedly increased his speed to 185km/h, before being stopped by police near the township of Frederickton.
The 61-year-old man was spoken to by police and issued an infringement notice for the offence of exceed speed limit by more than 45km/h. The penalty for this offence is $2520.
The man's licence was suspended for six months.
