Motorcycle rider seriously injured in fail to stop crash at Auburn

An investigation is under way after a driver failed to stop and render assistance following a crash with a motorcycle in Sydney's south-west.

About 3pm yesterday (Wednesday 30 November 2022), emergency services responded to reports of a crash involving a motorcycle at the intersection of Chisholm Road and Chiswick Road, Auburn.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the 28-year-old motorcycle rider at the scene. He was later taken to Westmead Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Officers from Auburn Police Area Command secured a crime scene which was later examined by specialist police from the Crash Investigation Unit.

Police have been informed that a green Toyota Camry station wagon driven by an elderly male failed to stop after the crash and proceeded to drive north bound along Chisholm Road.

It is believed the Toyota may have minor rear end damage.
