Motorcyclist Critically Hurt in Monash Freeway Crash

A female motorcycle rider has sustained life-threatening injuries after a collision in Mulgrave on 19 June.

Investigators have been told a collision occurred between three vehicles and the rider who was travelling inbound on the Monash Freeway about 6.15am.

The female rider, who is yet to be identified, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

All drivers of the vehicles stopped at the scene.

The driver of the Nissan hatchback sustained minor injuries and was conveyed to hospital for treatment.

The driver of the Nissan Patrol, a 34-year-old Pakenham man, is currently assisting police with their enquiries.

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are on scene and continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.

The Monash freeway remains closed inbound from Wellington Road.
