A man has died following a crash in Sydney's west last month.
About 8am Monday 22 July 2024, emergency services were called to the M4 Motorway at Prospect, following reports of a two-vehicle crash west bound at the Prospect Highway off ramp.
Upon arrival, officers attached to Blacktown Police Area Command found a motorcycle and a car had collided, and the motorcycle rider came off his bike and crashed into a guard rail.
The rider, a 27-year-old man, was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition.
About 8.40am today (Sunday 11 August 2024), police were notified the man had died in hospital.
The driver of the car was uninjured and was taken to Blacktown Hospital for mandatory testing.
An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash commenced.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
