Motorhome Set Alight In Wangaratta

Wangaratta Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating after a motorhome was set alight in Wangaratta at the weekend.

Emergency services were called to the White Street scene following reports of the blaze around 3.20am on Saturday, 18 October.

Enquiries by investigators have revealed the offenders, it appears, have made two attempts to set the mobile home on fire.

In the first instance a man is believed to have thrown a Molotov cocktail at the vehicle and during his efforts set his arm on fire. He was last seen running down the road.

In the second attempt, another man is seen with a jerry can which is used to further ignite the blaze.

The man was last seen running from the scene.

Investigators believe one of the men would have been injured during the incident and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

Police have released CCTV vision in the hope someone may have information.
