Strahan police are reminding motorists to take care over the King's Birthday long weekend after two motorists were detected with high range speeds in a traffic operation earlier this morning on Henty Road at Strahan.
One motorist will receive a 3-month disqualification and an $828.75 fine after being allegedly detected at nearly 40 kilometres over the speed limit, travelling at 139km/h in the 100km/h zone. The other motorist was allegedly traveling at 134km/h in the same area.
Police urge people travelling to the West Coast and other regions in Tasmania to enjoy the long weekend to slow down, take care and drive to the conditions.
