Motorists are advised to drive with extreme care after heavy rain across the state has made many roads impassable, according to SA Police.
Emergency Services crews have been kept extremely since late afternoon, with numerous calls of trees across roads, and local flooding in the Adelaide Hills.
Many of Adelaide's arterial roads have also been impacted with flooding and water across the inside lanes near gutters.
For information to motorists north of Adelaide, Kadina Police have advised the Horricks Highway between Kapunda and Tarlee is closed and there is also local flooding just north of at Rhynie.
In the south, Hills Fleurieu police report Alexandrina Road at Strathalbyn is also flooded and impassable.
Motorists are advised not attempt to cross flooded roads but take an alternative route.
