Mount Evelyn Water Treatment Plant

mount evelyn.png

Melbourne Water is planning on constructing a new water treatment plant (WTP) on a strip of pipe track in Mount Evelyn near Tramway Road. This plant will provide support for the Silvan Water Treatment Plant that processes around 50% of Melbourne's drinking water.

Mount Evelyn Water WTP will be used during times when Silvan WTP is offline, either due to scheduled maintenance or in case of emergency.

The addition of this new plant will ensure a safe and reliable water supply to residents and businesses across Melbourne. This project is one of the ways we're delivering on our commitment to providing Melburnians with world-class water infrastructure.
