Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives have charged a man in relation to a fatal collision which occurred at Mount Richmond last year.
Police believe a Jeep Cherokee and a Holden Trax collided on the Portland - Nelson Road about 10.25am on 24 December.
The driver of the Holden, a 16-year-old girl and the front seat passenger, a 43-year-old woman, both from Mount Richmond, died at the scene.
A 15-year-old girl in the rear passenger seat sustained life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to hospital.
The driver of the Jeep, a Tyrendarra man, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital in a serious but stable condition.
A 51-year-old man from Tyrendarra was today charged with two counts of dangerous driving causing death, dangerous driving causing serious injury and other traffic offences.
He appeared at court today and has been remanded till 18 June, 2021.
