Mowing update

Kiama Council

mowing_March2023

Kiama Council's outdoor teams are working hard to keep our parks, gardens and sportsgrounds mowed and maintained.

However, with the current spate of warm and wet weather, the grass is growing abundantly in most areas of our municipality.

We are also experiencing some staff shortages, which are causing delays to our usual schedule of mowing and maintaining our parks, playgrounds and reserves and sportsgrounds.

Unfortunately, this situation is expected to continue until beyond the Easter break.

We ask our community to please bear with us and be assured we are getting around to the mowing as fast as we can.

In some instances, we may manage to mow but not whipper-snip, so we apologise in advance if things might not look as neat as you're used to.

Also, due to the upcoming public, and school holidays, and events (eg ANZAC Day ceremonies), regular runs may be interrupted as crews double back, or jump forward, to ensure high-traffic areas and event sites are in good condition.

If you're concerned about an area that desperately needs mowing, please lodge an online request.

Or contact our customer service team.

We thank our community in advance for their patience and understanding.
