Mullewa Hospital Milestone: Main Works Tender Out

The tender for main works for the Mullewa Hospital redevelopment has been released to market.

The new hospital is being delivered following consultation with the local community and will provide access to a range of health services under one roof.

In addition to enhanced primary and community-care facilities, the facility will continue to provide 24/7 emergency care from a new emergency department.

The package of main works will also deliver multi-purpose consultation rooms, allied health consultation rooms and treatment spaces enabled with virtual care technology and an ambulance bay.

Important site preparations are being completed ahead of main works set to commence later this year.

As stated by Health Minister Amber-Jade Sanderson:

"I'm pleased to announce a significant milestone in the Mullewa Hospital redevelopment, with the release of the tender for main works.

"The new hospital will represent a modern, fit-for-purpose facility providing the local community with access to the very latest in healthcare technology."

As stated by Geraldton MLA Lara Dalton:

"The Cook Government's commitment to providing the people of Mullewa with a contemporary facility has not wavered.

"With detailed plans completed, I'm excited to see the redevelopment move into this important new phase and look forward to sharing updates on progress in the coming months."
