Multi-Agency Search for Missing Man in Bushland Begins

A multi- agency search is continuing for a man missing in bushland in Sydney's northwest.

33-year-old Adrian Banciu was last seen at his Macquarie Park home on Sunday 12 November 2023.

His family reported him missing when he failed to return home and couldn't be contacted; however, about 3pm on Friday 17 November 2023, Adrian contacted his family and emergency services indicating he was lost in bushland in the vicinity of Berowra Valley National Park.

Following inquiries, it's believed Adrian was in the vicinity of an Aquatic Centre on Peats Ferry Road, Hornsby, sometime on Monday 13 November 2023, before he entered the bushland off Galston Road, Hornsby Heights.

Extensive land searches have taken place since he made contact but he has not been located.

Police and family hold serious concerns for Adrian's welfare.

Adrian is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 175cm tall, of thin build, with a black beard.

He was last seen wearing a maroon flannelette shirt, tan shorts and black velcro sneakers. (As seen in attached image).
