- Inaugural Multicultural Expo to be held at Perth Cultural Centre this Saturday, 16 November 2024
- The family-friendly event will showcase the range of programs by State Government agencies and community service organisations on offer

Western Australians from culturally and linguistically diverse (CaLD) backgrounds are invited to attend the State's first Multicultural Expo this Saturday,16 November 2024 in the Perth Cultural Centre.
The event aims to showcase the range of services available to CaLD communities with opportunities to engage with public sector agencies to find out more about the services on offer and how to access them.
A range of State Government agencies will be providing information about education, employment, health care and funding opportunities, including the Small Business Development Corporation, Department of Energy, Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety, Equal Opportunity Commission, TAFE Western Australia, and cultural organisations such as the WA Museum and the State Library of Western Australia.
Community service organisations funded by the State Government will also be providing information, including the Australian Red Cross, Royal Life Saving Society WA, Adult Migrant English Program, Multicultural Services Centre of WA, and Ishar Multicultural Women's Health Services Inc, amongst many others.
The event runs from 10am to 4pm, and throughout the day there will be a range of music and dance performances, food trucks and family-friendly activities.
The Multicultural Expo is supported by the State Government through the Office of Multicultural Interests, Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries.
As stated by Citizenship and Multicultural Interests Minister Dr Tony Buti:
"I am proud to host the first Multicultural Expo, which highlights the valuable resources available to empower culturally and linguistically diverse communities across both State Government and community service organisations.
"Located in the bustling Perth Cultural Centre, this event is a great opportunity for people to speak with service providers face-to-face and learn more about what is on offer.
"The Cook Government is proud to support a multitude of culturally and linguistically diverse communities and to foster opportunities for empowerment and growth. This year alone,
92 organisations received $8.73 million dollars to deliver activities that build community capacity and contribute to diversity and social cohesion in Western Australia.
"Our State is home to thriving culturally and linguistically diverse communities, and events such as the Multicultural Expo play an important role in connecting people with the right services and programs to help them achieve their goals and thrive in Western Australia."
