Multicultural Grant Recipients Announced

The CLP Government's 2025 Multicultural Grants Support Program focuses on delivering tangible results which help to serve and uplift Territorians.

In total, $1.4 million has been allocated to eight programs based in the Territory, which will provide multi-year funding for up to five years for projects and activities that support education and skills development, employment and addresses issues such as social isolation and other related challenges.

Minister for Multicultural Affairs, Jinson Charls, said the initiatives played a vital role in supporting the multicultural communities that enrich the Territory's unique lifestyle.

"Multicultural communities make a significant contribution to the cultural and linguistic diversity of the Northern Territory," he said

"The transition to a new home and country isn't always easy, so we're pleased to be able to support the important programs and services that the recipients are leading, through this program, continuing our efforts to restoring our Territory lifestyle."

Recipients include:

Ignite Potential - for their Employment Training and Emotional Wellbeing Support for Migrants Program.

Australian Red Cross - for their Connected Women and their Families Program.

Multicultural Community Services of Central Australia - for the Case Management Support to Migrants in Central Australia Program.

Council on the Ageing NT (COTA NT) - for the Seniors Multicultural Social Support Program.

Rural Business Support Service - to deliver Rural Business Support Business Basics.

Colombian Australian Association of the Northern Territory - for their Building a Thriving, Inspiring Community Program.

Catholic Church of the Diocese of Darwin - for the Italian and East Timorese Community Service.

Melaleuca Australia - for their MyNT Kaleidoscope Service

"I will now focus on the development of the CLP's Multicultural Policy, considering how we best achieve social cohesion and embrace our diversity to continue our ongoing efforts to not only restore but enhance our Territory's lifestyle," said Mr Charls.

"I will be announcing the Policy in 2025."
