Police have arrested 10 people following a three day operation targeting criminal activity in and around Bendigo, Victoria Police say.
A total of 10 search warrants were executed across Bendigo, Longlea, Strathdale and Heathcote areas between 25 and 27 September.
Addresses in California Gully, Bendigo, Longlea, Heathcote and Redesdale were targeted with a number of people arrested as part of an ongoing initiative to target volume crime within the western part of the state.
Police arrested a 27-year-old Kangaroo Flat man and 29-year old Long Gully woman following a search warrant at a Long Gully address.
Investigators seized what is alleged to be a quantity of methylamphetamine, a homemade firearm and a quantity of ammunition at the address.
The man appeared before the Bendigo Magistrates’ Court on 25 September charged with possess drug of dependence, possess firearm and possess ammunition without a licence.
The woman was remanded to appear at Bendigo Magistrates’ Court on 21 November charged with drugs offences.
Further warrants and operations are planned in for the future.
