Police are investigating multiple break-ins at businesses in Prospect overnight.
About 2.13am today (Sunday 14 March), patrols were called to a business on Prospect Road after an alarm was activated.
A patrol saw a silver Ford sedan nearby, and when they attempted to stop the vehicle it sped off along Prospect Road heading south. The Ford was briefly pursued but police lost sight of the vehicle on Hackney Road, Gilberton.
Further investigation found that four other businesses in the vicinity had also been broken into. The Ford was also involved in a petrol drive-off at a service station on South Road, Ridleyton soon after the break-ins.
The vehicle is a grey 2005 Ford Falcon sedan, with South Australian registration of XEC916.
Police suspect the break-ins are linked, and are following positive lines of enquiry.
