Multiple Charges After Man Arrested At Ambarvale

A man has been charged with a number of offences in Ambarvale yesterday.

Detectives attached to Campbelltown City Police Area Command attended a home on Dickens Road, Ambarvale, about 3pm yesterday (Sunday 3 November 2024), for the execution of a search warrant.

A police operation was initiated with the assistance of Highway Patrol, Dog Unit, Operations Support Group, and the Tactical Operations Unit.

About 4.50pm, a 25-year-old man was seen jumping several neighbouring fences and a search commenced to locate the man.

He was arrested a short time later and was taken to Campbelltown Police Station.

During a search of the property police seized a stolen Kawasaki motorcycle.

  • The man was charged with five outstanding warrants which included the following 10 offences,
  • Drive motor vehicle during disqualification period (two counts)
  • Drive conveyance taken without consent of owner (two counts)
  • Dishonestly obtain property by deception
  • Use class A vehicle displaying altered number-plate
  • Dishonestly obtain property by deception
  • Affray
  • Drive vehicle, illicit drug present in blood etc
  • Aggravated break and enter dwelling etc in company steal.

He was refused bail to appear before Campbelltown Local Court today (Monday 4 November 2024).

In an unrelated incident, a man who was filming the operation was allegedly assaulted by a 36-year-old resident of Dickens Road, Ambarvale. As a result, the man was issued a court attendance notice for common assault, to appear before Campbelltown Local Court on Thursday 21 November 2024.
