Police are investigating two fires in the Northern Grampians region over the weekend, Victoria Police say.
Emergency services were called to a grass fire at Ararat Community College Oval at 9.50pm on Saturday evening.
Around fifteen meters of grass was burnt but there was no property damage and no injuries were reported.
Police have been told fireworks were heard coming from the oval moments before the fire was reported.
Emergency services were also called to a shop fire at 12.30pm earlier that day on Cromie Street in Rupanyup.
The fire is believed to have started internally and caused significant damage to two stores.
There were no people present at the time of the fire.
The investigation into both fires is ongoing and police are appealing for witnesses.
Anyone with information about the fire is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
