Officers from the Major Crash Investigation Section are seeking information regarding a fatal crash in Mundrabilla, west of Eucla, yesterday, Saturday 24 December 2022.
About 3.20pm, a white Mazda CX-5 SUV and a Kenworth road train were being driven east on the Eyre Highway. About 13km west of the Mundrabilla Roadhouse the two vehicles collided.
A 51-year-old female passenger in the Mazda died at the scene. The 56-year-old male driver of the Mazda and a 17-year-old male passenger were injured in the crash and were flown by the Royal Flying Doctor Service to Kalgoorlie, where they were met by St John WA and transferred to Kalgoorlie Hospital.
The 49-year-old male driver of the Kenworth truck was not injured.
