Police are currently at the scene of a murder at Cowandilla.
At about 12.30 am on Tuesday 14 January police were called to a series of alarm activations on business premises on Henley Beach Road at Torrensville.
When police arrived they discovered several businesses had been broken into and located a suspect at the scene. The 32-year-old man had suffered a leg injury as a result of the break ins.
Enquiries with this man led police to a nearby Cowandilla home where they located the body of a 60-year-old man.
Police believe the victim to be a resident of the address, and both men are known to each other.
Police are currently managing the scene.
The 32-year-old Cowandilla man has been arrested and is receiving treatment for his leg injury.
It is expected the man will be charged with murder and other related property offences once his medical treatment is completed.
