Detectives have released CCTV footage in a bid to identify two men and a utility seen in the vicinity of Woodville Gardens around the time of a fatal Woodville Gardens house fire last month.
Just after 4am on Thursday 7 November, police and emergency services were called to 3 Essex Street, Woodville Gardens after a passerby noticed flames coming from the front of a house.
Once the fire was extinguished, the body of 72-year-old Bill Frangos was found inside.
Following a comprehensive examination of the scene, it's believed the fire was deliberately lit and Bill was murdered.
CCTV footage shows two men of African appearance and a red Ford Falcon XR6 utility, with a distinctive chrome rollbar and a loud sports exhaust in the vicinity on the night of the murder.
Police suspect these men may be involved in Bill's murder and are appealing to the public and members of the African community to provide information on their movements on the night of the murder.
Detective Inspector Andrew Macrae from Major Crime Investigation Branch said, "Major Crime Detectives are investigating if the people who murdered Bill were known to him or were in the vicinity of his house prior to his murder".
If anyone has information about the car or know the identity of the men, they are asked to contact Crime Stoppers. You can anonymously provide information to Crime Stoppers online at https://crimestopperssa.com.au or free call 1800 333 000.
