Swan Hill Rural City Council has joined forces with Swan Hill Incorporated to encourage not-for-profit groups and organisations to register Christmas events happening across the region in 2024. The initiative aims to bring the community together to celebrate the festive season.
Council's Director Development and Planning, Michelle Grainger said not-for-profit groups and organisations were invited to participate by registering their Christmas events via a dedicated events page, titled "Murray Little Christmas".
"Murray Little Christmas will serve as a central hub for locals and visitors alike to discover the range of activities taking place throughout the Christmas season.
"From our inaugural Christmas Tree lighting event to community carols and markets and light displays, the "Murray Little Christmas" guide will showcase the vibrant and diverse ways our municipality will be embracing the Christmas spirit.
"We're thrilled to collaborate with Swan Hill Incorporated on this project.
"Our region is known for its strong sense of community, and we want to ensure everyone can get involved in the celebrations this year. By registering your event, you're helping us create a memorable Christmas season for all," Ms Grainger said.
