You're invited to our industry development sessions this month hosted by the City of Greater Geelong's Live and Local program, in partnership with the Live Music Office and Music Victoria.
Starting with a free artist session at 5.30pm, Wednesday 12 June at Customs House, 'Promoting Your Work to Your Audience' is an opportunity for musicians to build their skills and knowledge in the industry. Achord Agency's digital marketing manager Leesa Snider and artist Baraka The Kid will cover a range of topics including audience development and digital marketing.
Our 'Getting Your Act Together' workshop on Wednesday 19 June at 5.30pm will explore how to set up your music practice, communicating with venues, and negotiation with guest speakers UNIFIED's Ashleigh Hills and Luke Hindson from Torquay Hotel and Barwon Heads Hotel. This session will also be held at Customs House.
On Wednesday 26 June from 10:30am-1pm at Geelong's civic precinct Wurriki Nyal, we're holding a dedicated roundtable for the region's live music venue operators. All venues in the municipality are invited to discuss current and future challenges they face, share insights and workshop possible solutions with the City and Music Victoria.
