Musical recycling with Junkyard Beats

MidCoast Council

Sydney based rhythm group, Junkyard Beats, is coming to the MidCoast in July for a special school show at the Manning Entertainment Centre.

Supported by MidCoast Council, the musical waste warriors use instruments made entirely of recycled waste, to help spread their important, educational message.

Junkyard Beats was created by Oded Prior in 2015 and for the past six years the group have performed all across Australia in major events, theatres, schools and festivals.

The group is renowned for its dynamic rhythm shows and music-in-education programs.

"We're thrilled to welcome Junkyard Beats to the region," said Chris Tippett Theatre Manager Manning Entertainment Centre.

"Their fun style will really get students engaged and help foster their creativity as they get to explore a whole new way of recycling."
