NAIDOC Smoking Ceremony

Join us to celebrate NAIDOC week. You are invited to join Councillors and officers in witnessing a proud Wadawurrung Traditional Owner host a Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony here in the Borough.

This year NAIDOC week occurs between the 7th and 14th of July and is dedicated to celebrating and recognising the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

The event will take place from 12.30 pm on Wednesday 10th July at Wirrng Wirrng (Queenscliffe Hub).

This year's theme is "Keep the fire burning! Blak, loud and proud."

The Borough of Queenscliffe always was and always will be Wadawurrung Country. To learn more about NAIDOC week, click on the button below.
