Naremburn Local Centre Revitalised

Willoughby City Council

The Albanese Government continues to partner with Willoughby City Council to deliver high-priority local road and community infrastructure projects, with upgrades to the Naremburn streetscape on Sydney's lower north shore officially complete.

The $1.3 million project – supported by over $751,000 from the Albanese Government under the Local Roads and Community Infrastructure (LRCI) Program, and over $563,000 from Willoughby City Council, has transformed the Naremburn local centre.

This includes more public space and seating, improved tree canopy cover, and changes to traffic flow, which will allow safer access for pedestrians, cyclists and bus passengers.

These upgrades will provide a major boost for local businesses heading into the warmer months – supporting expanded open-air dining options.

Increased pedestrian flow will also encourage businesses to create new visitor experiences, which will enhance business identification and boost the local economy.
