Narrabri Hospital Gets $70K for Outdoor Upgrades

Patients and visitors to Narrabri Hospital will soon enjoy a newly transformed outdoor area, thanks to a $70,000 funding boost from the NSW Government.

This upgrade will create a relaxed and comfortable space where clinical conversations and individual client motor skills assessments can take place where appropriate, improving patient experiences and the work environment for staff.

The outdoor area upgrade at Narrabri Hospital will include a clinical space featuring a flyover roof patio, offering essential amenities for year-round comfort, regardless of weather conditions.

Consultation regarding the design and layout of the designated space is expected to commence at the end of 2024, and the space is envisioned to serve as an area of cultural connection for staff, patients and their families and carers, and the broader community. This will also include the installation of Aboriginal artwork.

This investment is part of the Minns Labor Government's broader $12 million commitment to 61 projects under the Regional Health Minor Works Program, aimed at upgrading health facilities in rural and regional areas.
