Narrandera Shire Council has endorsed the final design for the Narrandera Destination & Discovery Hub and the design is now on public exhibition for comment.
This new building will replace the existing Visitor Information Centre on Cadell Street and will include dedicated areas for visitor services, a permanent exhibition space where people can discover Narrandera Shire's nature-based and cultural stories in a modern facility with interactive displays and improved access, public amenities, and workspaces.
Our vision is to create a 'destination' for visitors, encouraging them to stay and 'discover' our Shire's strengths of nature, koalas, art, heritage, events, and culture.
The Hub will help build Narrandera as a starting point for exploring many of the attractions and opportunities available in the Riverina.
Mayor Cr Neville Kschenka praised the project and encouraged Narrandera Shire residents to look at the designs and have their say in the development.
"This new building will welcome visitors to our region, impress them with diverse experiences and will provide our community with an outstanding facility that everyone can enjoy."
Visit Council's website to view plans for the Narrandera Destination & Discovery Hub and offer feedback. Hard copies are available at the Council office, Library and Visitor Information Centre for viewing.
Feedback will be received until Thursday 12 August and can be contributed via the 'Have Your Say' section on Council's website or email to [email protected]
