National Network For Safe Handling Of Nanomaterials

The Swedish Chemicals Agency (KemI) has launched a new network for the safe handling of nanomaterials. The network is based on the national platform for safe handling of nanomaterials which was hosted by IMM.

On May 16, 2024, The Swedish Chemicals Agency (KemI) launched a new network for the safe handling of nanomaterials. IMM is represented by Prof. Bengt Fadeel, an expert on nanotoxicology and former chairman of the national platform SweNanoSafe. SweNanoSafe was hosted at IMM from 2019 until 2023. The national platform was designed to promote the dialogue between academia and other societal stakeholders in matters related to the safe production and use of nanomaterials. The final report was published in January 2024. The new national network hosted by KemI is based on these activities.
