Kiama Council
Thanks to everyone who contributed to our National Tree Day 2024 plantings.
We were thrilled to have the support of our local Landcare Illawarra groups hosting plantings at Seven Mile Beach, Kaleula Headland and Bombo Headland.
The Landcare volunteers did a sterling job working with the students from Kiama High School to plant 500 local native trees in a matter of hours.
Landcare also organised the plants, growing the majority themselves through local nurseries.
Thanks also to our own Bush Regeneration Team for coordinating site preparation and assisting with this great annual event.
Lastly, but most importantly, thanks to the Minnamurra Lions Club for adding their barbecue skills, to feed the horticultural hordes afterwards.
