Neuro Researchers Receive KID Grants

The Committee for Doctoral Education at Karolinska Institutet has granted five KID grants to the Division of Neuro (Department of Clinical Neuroscience) for projects focusing on multiple sclerosis and Parkinson's disease.

The granted research projects are:

Maja Jagodic - Functional B-cell genomics for EBV-based multiple sclerosis patient stratification and precision medicine applications (co-supervisors: Maria Needhamsen, Majid Pahlevan Kakhki).

André Ortlieb Guerreiro-Cacais - Endothelial antigens as novel targets in multiple sclerosis (co-supervisors: Tomas Olsson, Olivia Thomas, Goncalo Castelo-Branco)

Pernilla Stridh - Genetic determinants of neurodegeneration during central nervous system inflammation (co-supervisors: Maja Jagodic, Maria Needhamsen, Ingrid Kockum)

Olivia Thomas - Novel autoantigen and molecular misdirection of the immune response against pathogen in multiple sclerosis (co-supervisors: Tomas Olsson, Urszula Rykaczewska, Mattias Bronge, Hans Grönlund, André Ortlieb Guerreiro Cacais)

Per Svenningsson - Translational studies of Dementia and Depression in Parkinson's disease (co-supervisors: Xiaoqun Zhang, Ioannis Mantas).
