New And Expanded Dog Off-leash Areas In Suburbs

Tails will be wagging in Stratford and White Rock with two new dog off-leash areas announced today.

Councillors endorsed new dog off-leash areas at Jalarra Park in Stratford and Minniecon / Mundi Gunji Park in White Rock.

These spaces are designed for dogs to roam, play, and socialise while their owners enjoy a relaxed, community-friendly environment.

With minimal cost to the Council—covering things like signage, seating, and water bubblers—these new areas are all about creating a connected, welcoming space for both dogs and their humans.

Council has also expanded the popular dog off-leash area at Irene Street Drainage Reserve in Earlville.

Dog owners are reminded that while dog off-leash areas are a great place to socialise, pets must be under effective control at all times, meaning their pooch must come immediately on voice command
