Police are renewing their appeal for public assistance to locate a man missing from Lake Macquarie.
Andrew Dumbrell, aged 35, was last seen on Lorna and Edith streets, Waratah, about 9am on Tuesday 14 January 2025.
Officers attached to Lake Macquarie Police District were notified on Wednesday 15 January 2025 and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.
Police and family hold serious concerns for Andrew's welfare as he lives with medical conditions which require medication.
Andrew is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 165cm to 170cm tall, of medium build, with grey hair and brown eyes.
He was last depicted in CCTV footage wearing a black tank top with a white logo, dark coloured shorts, and no shoes.
He is known to use public transport and frequent areas including Windale, Warners Bay, Charlestown and Belmont.
Since Andrew was reported missing, numerous inquiries and two public appeals for information have been undertaken; however, he has not yet been located.
A search of bushland at Warners Bay was also conducted by NSW Police and NSW SES on Friday 21 February 2025, with nothing of interest located.
As inquiries into Andrew's whereabouts continue, police wish to gain further clarity about Andrew's movements on the day he was last seen.
It is believed he departed a hospital at Waratah before travelling to Warners Bay along this route: Edith Street Waratah > Lambton Road Waratah > Griffiths Road Lambton > Newcastle Road Lambton > Croudace Street Lambton > Lookout Road New Lambton Heights > Newcastle Inner City Bypass > Hillsborough Road Hillsborough > Hillsborough Road Warners Bay.
The last CCTV sighting of Andrew is in the vicinity of Hillsborough Road and Macquarie Road at Warners Bay.
Detectives urge anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage from along this route between Tuesday 14 January 2025 and Wednesday 15 January 2025 to come forward.
