New Appointments: Insolvency Practitioner Committees

Australian Treasury

The Albanese Government has appointed the following new part‑time members to the Ministerial Pool for the Insolvency Practitioner Registration and Disciplinary Committees (IPRDC):

  1. Ms Orla McCoy
  2. Dr Jason Harris
  3. Ms Donna Boyce

The appointments are for a three‑year period beginning on 2 November 2024.

The IPRDC plays an important role through its decisions in relation to the registration and discipline of insolvency practitioners who are entrusted with responsibility for the efficient and effective handling of the financial affairs of insolvent entities - including identifying instances of misconduct such as illegal phoenixing behaviour.

The new appointees bring extensive expertise in the field of corporate insolvency that will be of great assistance to the Committees in upholding the integrity in Australia's insolvency system.

These appointments will continue the high level of skills and experience available to the IPRDC and the Government appreciates the commitment of each appointee to contribute to the ongoing success of the committees.
