Victoria Police has today announced a number of Assistant Commissioner rotations within its senior leadership team.
These rotations are effective as of Monday 3 August 2020 and consist of the following:
• Assistant Commissioner Russell Barrett will move from Professional Standards Command to Southern Metro Region
• Assistant Commissioner Bob Hill will move from Southern Metro Region to Crime Command
• Assistant Commissioner Tess Walsh will move from Crime Command to Professional Standards Command
• Assistant Commissioner Chris O'Neill will move from Transit and Public Safety Command to Information Systems & Security Command (Chief Information Officer)
• Assistant Commissioner Dean McWhirter will move from Family Violence Command to Transit and Public Safety Command
Chief Commissioner Shane Patton said:
"Now the two Deputy Commissioners have been appointed, this has presented us with a great opportunity to make some changes within our senior leadership team."
"We are extremely fortunate to have such a high performing team and these movements will allow a number of our leaders to take on new challenges with a fresh set of eyes."

The Assistant Commissioner positions left vacated by recent promotions will be advertised next week.
