Kate Denham, Non-executive Director, for the Coal Authority from April 2024, said:
I'm excited to begin my role as a non-executive director at the Coal Authority to start working together to provide a better future for people and the environment in mining areas.
I have helped other organisations to improve the way they work with partners, communities and customers. I will now support the Coal Authority as they listen, learn and take practical action to create safer, cleaner and greener spaces for the communities they serve.
Kate will chair the Coal Authority's Environment and Sustainability Committee.
