DevelopmentWA has strengthened its board with the appointment of Felicity Zimmermann, a business leader with 25 years international experience including serving in chief executive officer and non-executive board roles.

She brings with her a broad strategic perspective, gained from a background in law, financial services, risk management, complex transactions, government and not-for-profit businesses.

As DevelopmentWA embarks on an extensive social and affordable housing construction program, Ms Zimmerman's background in this sector will bring valuable insight.

Ms Zimmerman has extensive experience as a non-executive director at Foundation Housing, a major community housing provider, and one of WA's largest developers and managers of accommodation for people in need, providing housing for more than 3,100 people.

Ms Zimmermann has previously been chief risk officer at Keystart, a state director at ANZ Bank and legal counsel at Barclays London, among other senior leadership roles.

As stated by Planning and Lands Minister John Carey:

"I want to congratulate Felicity on her appointment, which adds valuable expertise to DevelopmentWA as it delivers a range of projects and outcomes.

"Her experience working in the social and affordable housing sector will benefit DevelopmentWA as it continues with its program of delivering new build-to-rent apartments."
