The Morrison Government has appointed Caroline Elliott and Lucinda Brogden AM to the Board of the National Film and Sound Archive (NFSA), each for three year terms.
Ms Elliott has been appointed as Chair of the Board after serving as a NFSA Board member since 2017. Mrs Brogden will immediately fill the Member vacancy arising from Ms Elliott's new appointment.
Minister for Communications, Urban Infrastructure, Cities and the Arts, the Hon Paul Fletcher MP, said today's appointments would support the NFSA's role in preserving Australia's vibrant and diverse audiovisual culture.
"I congratulate Ms Elliott and Mrs Brogden on their appointments to the National Film and Sound Archive Board, and look forward to the valuable contribution they will each make over their three year terms," Minister Fletcher said.
"Both Ms Elliott and Mrs Brogden have hands on experience in enhancing the capabilities of large and diverse organisations, and will each play an important role in overseeing the transformation and digitisation of the NFSA."
Ms Elliott has distinguished leadership experience developed through senior financial and private sector roles. She is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Propel Group Pty Ltd, a Non-Executive Director of St Johns Ambulance Australia (VIC), and also holds Directorships at dorsaVi Limited and Wiltrust Nominees Pty Ltd. as Trustee for the Edward Wilson Estate.
Mrs Brogden brings more than 25 years' commercial experience with companies including Macquarie Group and Ernst & Young and more than ten years in organisational psychology. She is currently the Chair and Commissioner of the National Mental Health Commission, and Chair of Mentally Healthy Workplace, Governor and Interim Chair for Queenwood School for Girls, Chair of Mentally Healthy Workplace Alliance and Director for Be Kind Sydney.
