New Chairperson For Harness Racing Victoria

The Victorian Government has appointed Bernard Saundry as the new Chairperson of Harness Racing Victoria (HRV).

Mr Saundry has more than 20 years' experience in senior leadership roles across entertainment and sporting industries in Victoria and New Zealand.

He has held several Chief Executive Officer (CEO) roles including CEO of HRV from 1993 to 2001, the Western Bulldogs Football Club, Racing Victoria and most recently RSN Racing & Sport radio.

During his time at HRV he was responsible for the fiscal management and strategic direction of the industry.

Mr Saundry has been appointed as a member and Chairperson of the Board of HRV for a term of three years, replacing Adam Kilgour who served as interim Chairperson from March this year.

After nearly seven years of service to Victorian harness racing, Mr Kilgour will formally retire from the Board at the end of this month.

Director Jane Brook will also mark the end of her nine years of service at the end of this month.
