The 'A Very Darwin Christmas Pageant' is back again for 2023, with more than 650 Territorians taking part in this year's merry initiative.
More than 40 floats have signed up for this year's event, ranging from walking groups, dance groups, single vehicle floats and trailer floats.
After the success of the inaugural year the Christmas Pageant float route has also grown to encapsulate more of the Darwin CBD, and provide more viewing areas for the thousands of Territorians expected to attend.
Starting from Knuckey Street on the Esplanade, the floats will dance, walk and parade across Cavenagh Street, down Bennett Street and finish at Herbert Street.
Some of the local schools and associations taking part in the Pageant include, Rosebery Primary School, Darwin Karting Associations, St John Ambulance and Curled Ice Cream.
Amongst all of the Pageant fun, will be roving entertainment, activities for the kids, food trucks for light snacks, and following the Pageant will be the Lord Mayor's annual lighting of the Christmas Tree.
The Christmas Pageant will begin at 5pm on Saturday 18 November. here
This initiative is a partnership between the Northern Territory Government and City of Darwin.
