New City Signs Debut in Suburbs and Parks

Earlier this month, Council installed new park signs for our iconic McQuade Park at the three main pedestrian and vehicle access points. Over the coming months, signs will begin appearing at Deerubbin Park, Hollands Paddock, Thompson Square and around the Windsor Town Centre.

The signs' sandstone aesthetic is designed to be sympathetic to our city's colonial heritage and natural beauty.

Council's 'Getting around and Discovering the Hawkesbury' wayfinding project will include a suite of City welcome signs at roads entering our City, suburb welcome signs, at our major parks and landmarks, and navigational signage within our major town centres. Navigational signage was included at Richmond, South Windsor and Windsor during the recent Liveability upgrades. The rollout of signs across the Hawkesbury is expected to be completed by the end of 2027, weather permitting.

The signs will play an important role in greeting visitors to our City and helping them to navigate our towns and regions. Council is committed to building a Hawkesbury that is loved by its people.

Getting around and Discovering the Hawkesbury is funded by the NSW Government's Western Sydney Infrastructure Grants program in association with Hawkesbury City Council.
